Parkhaus projects is an artist-run exhibition space. Originally a car park house for the officers of the DDR, it is still a building where over half is leased out for parking.
Parkhaus projects was established in 2008 by Scott Chaseling; its programming is now being continued by Mareike Lee. The space consists of the exhibition area, as well as six studios with international artists working over many disciplines.

In 2009 the first exhibition was shown in the newly redesigned space, including the now infamous ramp space. The ramp is of course the driveway for the cars to access their parking spots, and within the ramp is a large central void, 30 meters high. This architecture has been fundamental in the curating of specific works to suit its strength and beauty.
